Our practice uses digital imaging to take x-rays of your teeth and surrounding bone structure. Though the machine may seem intimidating, x-rays provide information that cannot be detected any other way. We want to minimize the small amount of radiation that dental x-rays expose a patient to, so we only take them when absolutely necessary to make a proper diagnosis or find suspected decay or disease.
Not only do these machines help us see the clearest possible images of your teeth, but they have become much safer over the years. Modern digital x-rays emit a fraction of the radiation compared to traditional x-rays.
If you have any questions about the x-ray process, don’t hesitate to contact us!
